Interoperable communication is the future of medical technology.
Service-oriented Device Connectivity (SDC) is becoming reality, and medical devices in the OR "interoperable". This will have a significant impact for the user interface. We are fully prepared and already working intensively on further developments, such as real-time SDC (RT-SDC).

steute Meditec is at the very forefront, and although SDC is nearly ready to launch, some fundamental questions and details still need to be clarified. The goal is for as many manufacturers as possible to equip their devices with SDC-compatible interfaces – and for the interoperable OR, with all its benefits, to become reality after more than twenty years of intensive preparation. New generations of interfaces are ready and waiting to face this challenge.
