Predictive Analysis for Robustness Testing

The goal of the joint research project "Predictive Analysis for Robustness Testing" (PART), in which steute Meditec plays an active role, is the development of an autonomous system for revision-safe verification of the functionality and robustness of integrated medical devices in the OR.

The system is designed to be capable of autonomous learning. Based on analysis of system reactions, a broad knowledge base is built up which can then be assessed using data mining techniques. New, complementary check commands and test scenarios can also be automatically derived from it. For example, the system can define threshold values, beyond which the probability of a certain malfunction increases. These results then flow into the dynamic, autonomous generation of further test scenarios. PART is therefore developing a highly efficient tool to verify the suitability of medical devices and user interfaces for the integrated OR.
