MoVE

Modular Validation Environment for Medical Device Networks

steute Meditec was an active partner in the project “Modular Validation Environment for Medical Device Networks”, (MoVE), a follow-up project to OR.NET. The project partners developed methods to support approval and certification procedures, as well as the risk management of openly integrated medical products in modular OR environments. This was to ensure that small and medium-sized medical device manufacturers would also have market access to the interoperable OR.

To this end, a simulation environment was developed which includes appropriate protocols, test scenarios and test fields. This environment is capable of testing the integration of medical devices and software components in different scenarios and to validate their behaviour with regard to different parameters. Successful device testing and validation is then proof of SDC conformity.
